Training System for Japan's Tax Officials

Specialty Course (6months)

This course is for 100 tax officials who have passed a screening test. Candidates need to have a definite term of work experience of 14 years or more but less than 17 years for those employed through the Principal Class 3 Entrance Examination (Taxation) or 10 years or more but less than 13 years for those employed through the National Tax Expert Service Examination.

Overview

Objectives
  • To help trainees acquire important and highly specialized knowledge and skills on legal affairs, administrative management and other matters, and to train them as key workers in tax administration.
Curriculum

(1) Legal Affairs-related subjects including reviews and procedures for tax-litigation, advanced financial transactions, and case studies.

(2) Administrative management subjects including organization theory, management theory, planning and proposals drafting, communication, and administrative management case studies.

(3) Assigned subject research, and others.

Teaching staff

The instructors for this course are selected from eminent university professors, law professionals and NTA officials with considerable practical experience.
