| The Tax Reference Room is opened at the NTC Central Institute's Wakamatsu Campus. |

| Basic training courses for new tax officers are commenced at the NTC Regional Training Centers. |

| Enrollment system based on The National Tax Export Service Examination is introduced. Basic training for Service as National Tax Expert is started at the NTC Central Institute. |

| The NTC Central Institute's Funabashi Campus is established. International tax seminars are started at the NTC Central Institute. |

| The International Seminar on Taxation (ISTAX) is conducted at the NTC Central lnstitute. |

| The NTC Wakamatsu and Funabashi Campuses move to Wako City, Saitama Prefecture to form the Wako Campus. Tax Museum is established. |
